Found a great online radio station - The Paved Earth. They play a superb blend of indie and punk and even feature a requests feature where clicking on a link will get your track played within 2 or 3 songs. Blinding!!

Apart from that, I thought I had done an update during the weekend, apparently not! I did cycle to Lotta's folks and it was great. It turned out to be nearer 10 miles, which I covered (including navigation) in about 45 minutes. Not too bad for an old codger! Great BBQ too!

Cycling home I saw my second wild elk! This one appeared to be stuck in a drainage ditch with steep sides. It was a baking hot day and she must have climbed into the water to cool down. I stopped for a while, but there was a big crowd of people who seemed to have the situation in hand, so I left her to it - I'm sure that I would have heard on the news if there had been any complications.

Apart from that, I spent most of the weekend working on the new site! I've already gotten the basic updating functionality working. Give it a couple of weeks and I should be more or less ready to swap over. Exciting stuff! Drop me a line if you want a sneak preview :-)

Mmmm! BBQ with Lotta's folks this evening. I'm going to cycle there (8 miles or so) first - as long as I don't get lost!

Developed some Roskilde pics today, so I may swing by the office tomorrow to scan some. Look out for a posting soon.

I managed to track down the website for the Nazarenes. There's some shorter samples of tracks from their album in fairly scratchy Real format which just doesn't do them justice. It's better than nothing though.

Oh yeah - check out www.marriagemadeinvegas.co.uk to see my friends' wedding album. I'll post something when the party pictures are online too!

Woohoo! After another long gap I'm back from Roskilde. I have to say I'm feeling pretty positive about the festival this year. Up until almost the last day I was feeling a bit down, but suddenly everything swung around and I've ended up feeling like I had a great time. Odd!

Some highlights in lieu of a longer description later:
* sunny weather
* seeing The Cure from near the front
* naked golf
* drinking cocktails
* Senor Coconut
* breakfast with Tim & Fi
* meeting The Nazarenes - my favourite band from the festival
* surprising people with the fluffy pink rat in the pocket of my skirt
* Aqua

So now I'm back and I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer. Some summer promises (another list)
* Go on day trips to places around Gothenburg
* Start work on my new website
* Buy a new computer
* Buy Lotta's corset
* Improve my suntan
* Go canoeing

So there you have it - I'm caught up enough to feel less guilty.

Bless me father for I have sinned. It has been 11 days since I last blogged!

Admittedly I do have my excuses. Excuse 1 - I was in London for a week. Excuse 2 - when I came back I got flu!

Of course I've had at least some kind of access during this time, but I've either been worried about other people's phone bills or feeling too shite to get off the sofa.

To compound matters, we're off to Roskilde Festival tomorrow so I probably won't post again for a week and a bit unless I can be bothered to face the queues in the Internet tent (yeah right!). This is why I need to write my own blogging software, which is my big plan for when I get back. One of the things I'm looking forward to is a web interface.

So what have I been up to? Well the London trip was fantastic. Big shout out to the BWSN posse - cheers for a cool night. Aaron - you're a darling as always. Got to see both parents for a nice change and got to spend some quality time with them. The highlight of the trip though was Heather and Kevin's wedding party.

What can I say? It was quite simple the best party I've ever been to - and believe me, that's *some* compliment! The highlights included winning at Blackjack (bottle of Veuve Cliquot!), drinking vodka shots through life-sized ice sculptures of human torsos, seeing Heather & Kevin so happy and generally having a completely mad evening. Thank you to everyone involved it was truly a special party and will be tough to beat!

So today is Midsommar in Sweden, a day when people get together to eat sill (pickled herring yugh!) and new potatoes and drink snapps (yum!). Lotta Jens and I are all travelling to Roskilde together at the crack of sparrows tomorrow, so I invited them to my place for a midsommar dinner this evening. Fortunately, I'm actually packed and ready, so I've got a couple of hours to kill until I start preparing potatoes. I think I'll go and shave my head ;-)

I'll be back soon - don't do anything I wouldn't do. And if you need to contact me SMS my mobile (if you need to contact me, then you'll HAVE my mobile number!).

Heh! You've just gotta enjoy a 1-day week :-) Tomorrow we leave for London, so expect even fewer updates than usual! Though if you're someone who reads this blog often I'll probably see you during the week in any case!

The weekened was nice - relaxed. Friday evening a friend of mine became a doctor (in Electromagnetic Waves as far as I can tell). So we were at a party to celebrate his achievement. Lots of fun and lots of good food and drink. Then Saturday Lotta and I took a swing around the shops to pick up last minute presents for people in the UK. The rest of the weekend I've been fiddling with the 'puter at home. Upgraded to RedHat 7.1, which fixed a few recent problems. Then I spent quite a bit of Sunday downloading tracks for this year's Roskilde tape.

Now I've just got to get through a day of work (heh!) and then we're off! If you're someone who's in London and is expecting to hook up with me at some point, then Thursday evening I'll be at a pub somewhere in London! You can mail me for further details as I will be in Email contact while I'm in London.
