Saw the flat.

Didn't take it! There was a couple there are the same time, who were ready to move right away. Also, for the money the flat cost, it was by no means perfect. I'll wait for something more suited to me to come along :-)

Going to see a flat this afternoon - the big one that I mentioned a couple of posts back!

Fingers crossed :-) (Or thumbs held as the tradition in in Sweden)

Well, it's been a day :-) I've written a 19 page competitor analysis (OK, it has pictures too!) and done all the other myriad things one does during a day. Time to go home soon :-)

There I will continue working on the invites to this year's Tequila and Tårta Fest (an annual birthday party that I throw with some friends who also have birthdays around the same time as me - it stands for Tequila and Cake Party btw!). I'm designing them using The Gimp which has *really* matured lately. I'm very impressed with the latest copy I have it's almost as strong a tool as Photoshop now and has become much more intuitive to use. However I'm fairly sure that having the latest copy of Gnome doesn't hurt the stability of my machine either.

For anyone who doesn't understand a word of the above - don't worry - it's all about Linux stuff :-)

Didn't hear anything back about the flat. Only one way to look at that - it was never meant to be :-) I'm sure I'll find something soon - after all, all the other friends of mine who have been flat hunting lately have managed to find something without too many serious problems... eventually...

Catch ya later Bill n' Ted!

Well, Jenni from JenniCam is now blogging! Thought Currents. It'll be interesting to see how this works out in comparison to the Journal.

I've applied to see a flat. It's 110m2 (which is BIG) in the area of town where I MOST want to live. I should hear whether I'm on the list to go and see it on Monday. Fingers crossed (even though it's devilishly expensive!).

Got new balls today! (fnurr fnurr!)

Juggling balls that is :-) I haven't juggled for ages and I was thinking of getting some extra large, heavy juggling bags to combine juggling and exercising. The shop I went to didn't have any of the larger bags though, so I bought a set of three balls. It's great to juggle again.

Whoah! Has it really been over a week since I last posted? Bad boy! In that time, I've been to Stockholm *again* and have been run of my feet at work. On the home front, I've been playing a little Railroad Tycoon (I am *so* bad at that game!) and erased almost all my Windows partitions. I have just a core Windows partition left, so that my fonts are still available. I'll sort it out eventually!

What else? Oh yeah, I'm planning a London trip again soon. I should be over in early November with Lotta - it's our 5 year anniversay, and as we met at the Slimelight in London we want to be there for our 5 year celebrations :-) It'll also be my birthday of course.

Anyhoo, I guess that sums up the last week or so. I'm back at the office much more now, so it should be service as normal for my blog.

After a few hectic days in Stockholm I'm back at my desk... for now! Off to Stockholm again on Sunday. Starting to tire of that particular routine now :-)

Launched the updated Wap-Dev site last night! Hurrah.

Friday is here... and so is the champagne! Thanks to Tom Jones I'm sitting at my desk drinking champagne :-)

God I love my job :-)

No umbrella unfortunately, but a fun day out :-) Golf wasn't as bad as I thought it might be! Of course the group of people I was with were fairly unrepresentative - none of us had ever played before, though all the others had been at the driving range at least once.

Anyhoo, the actual act of whanging little tiny white balls as far as you can down a large field was pretty fun. After about an hour and a half, I was able to get one of the little blighters to travel about 100-120m once every 2 or 3 attempts. Not bad I felt.

So will I be taking up golf as a hobby? I doubt it right now, though it may be something I'd give more of a try in the future. Tartan trousers on the other hand....

I'm going to play golf today.

Read that sentence again... slowly!

Yup, golf! Actually, I'm not going to play as such, but I've been invited along to a golf tournament, where as a non-player I get a chance to have an introductory lesson from a trainer and practise on the driving range etc. It's being organised by our ISP Tripnet and the main reasoning is that it's a good chance to meet new contacts who also have Tripnet as ISP. You know the sort of thing.

And it's raining! It's not pissing down, but the sky does have that ominous dark grey "I'm gonna flood you out m'fscker" look about it. Hmm, I'm hoping this means we all get complimentary golf umbrellas!

Golf.

I'll let you know how it goes!
