Now it's definite! I'll be in London from 21st July to 30th July. I guess I'm pleased to be going :-)

Work is going well today at least. I should be able to launch our new Extranet next week without any problems. Just need to get the coordination of moving our email provider sorted out.

Otherwise everythings still feeling kinda grey. Let's see if we can't get that sorted out over the weekend as well.

Well, sorry I haven't been around for a while. Here's a quick catch-up message anyway.

Roskilde was, well... different! With the tragedy of 8 people dying at the Pearl Jam concert, the cold weather, personal issues and then a stressful last night defending our camp site against stupid kids running around setting fires, the festival was quite frankly pretty horrible. I did of course get to see some really interesting bands and it was great to be with the Bastardos crew again, but will I return to Roskilde? Watch this space in around 6 months time to find out.

I'm back to work now, which is going swimmingly. On a personal level though my life is feeling stressful and depressing. It's summertime, I should be full of joy, but right now I feel terrible. I don't want to go into whys and wherefores in this blog, but I hope something changes around the corner.

I should be going to London in a couple of weeks time (if I can get a ticket), which I'm half looking forward to and half dreading as usual. London is such a hole. I am so glad I got away. It'll be great to catch up with friends and family though (that's probably you if you are reading this).

Well, not the most uplifting of blog entries, but hey, life isn't all roses y'know.

Another short post! Worked a lot over the weekend. I'm in a hurry to try and launch our new extranet solution before I depart for Roskilde at the end of this week. Apart from that, we threw our boss out of a plane over the weekend and everyone I know seems to be depressed.

Except me!

Smile everyone :-)

"McDonald's once meant Animal Exploitation. It now means Cultural Globalisation. This isn't about veggie burgers anymore - it's about rainforests and worker exploitation and consumer markets and homogenous tastes and shitty food and GM crops and blinkered, sterile, boring, dumb life. The victory of style over content. The deification of the logo. The overwhelming religious sanctity of ordinariness. The gap between rich and poor. The profit mark-up. The sacred role of the shareholder. The notion that the taste of home - in any major city in the world - is found in a burger bar. A shitty, plastic, flourescent-lit burger bar."

Thank you Chumbas!

Totally fricking bizarre site of the day! Wacky uses for household objects

Another weekend of travel! This time, Lotta and I headed South of Gothenburg to a little place called Laholm. Lotta's mother's side of the family live near there and one of Lotta's second cousins was graduating from High School - an event we don't celebrate in the UK, but which is almost as important here as in the US. We had fantastic weather for the event and it was all in all a really nice day. It was great to spend some more time with that side of the family who I haven't really had a chance to meet all that often.

Sunday was spent travelling and then for some reason I was totally wiped out by the time I got home. I even fell asleep in the bath! After 12 hours sleep however, I awoke on the Monday (bank holiday here in Sweden!) feeling fresh and ready for action. I spent quite a bit of the day working on my Wap-Dev mailing list and some more time on repotting a whole bunch of small cactii into a nice large planter that Lotta's mom passed my way. They look brilliant!

Anyhoo, it's Tuesday already and I have a lot to do, so I'd best go and get it done!

Oh wow! This is just the coolest! The site is in Norwegian, but the images on the homepage should tell the story!

The best bit is that they do a 3 week free trial program where if you rpomise to write a diary of your experiences, you can try one for 3 weeks and get a discount on buying it if you decide to continue! They only cost around 500 GBP too! I just need to find out some info about the legal side of using one in Sweden and if they can be used I'm extremely tempted to give one a try.

Back from a FANTASTIC conference in Stockholm and I'll start by linking to a car site!
http://www.evuk.co.uk/ - though not just any car site - a portal of information about electric cars! Hurrah!
