Nicew weekend! I was out with Lotta on Friday evening at the opening of yet another new club here in Göteborg. Called Club Pop, it was kinda OK I guess. Not brilliant, but not terrible either! Very young crowd.

Anyway, Saturday we were both a little hungover, but I got it together enough to make dinner on Saturday night - a prawn cocktail salad to start and then Chicken breasts stuffed with Camambert and herbs served with new(ish) potatoes and Asparagus tips. Mmms!

We accompanied the meal with Blair Witch Project on video. Brrrrr! That's one *scary* movie! I bought the video, but to be honest I don't see myself watching it again :-) I don't really see myself going camping in the woods any time soon either.

Sonday was a slob day - I did VERY little indeed beyond lie on the sofa!

All in all a good weekend I would say. Let's see what this week brongs - it should be interesting, but more on that later....

Wow. I'm shocked - I just leant that Ian Dury died last month. I heard the news via Jonny Lydon't web radio show. You can pay your respects to Ian at http://www.iandury.co.uk.

Hit me with your rhythm stick...

Found an extremely interesting Web-based ICQ server. Replicates a traditional ICQ client in DHTML, but allows access via traditional http so I can run it through the firewall instead of having to log in to telnet every time I want to ICQ.

Hurrah! (And no, I'm not giving out my ICQ number to everyone - if you want it, ask!)

Today's Pokémon figure is a light-up Gengar - in lovely deep purple colour. Unfortunately, I got two of them (not very well-sorted toys at our local Burger King!) - but it shouldn't be too dificult to find a reipient for the spare one :-)

Psyduck squirter with my BK meal today! And a second Muk toy :-( Doubles already!
The film opens this weekend - I'll see if I can talk Lotta into going.

Hurrah! Burger King in Sweden have started doing Pokémon toys :-) I got keyrings of Sandslash and Muk with my lunch today.

Have decided that my treat next month for having not smoked 6 months will be a Game Boy and Pokémon game cartridge. I can't wait <grin>.

Great weekend. The cycle ride never happened (lazy sod!), but Saturday evening Lotta and I met up with some friends at a hotel bar in Göteborg. Great company - and congrats to Martin and Margarita who have now joined my list of engaged friends.

Then on to Monochrome, which was a little quieter than usual, but packed with friends, so that was nice :-)

Sunday we got up kinda late and rang Jens with the suggestion that we have a brunch at a cafe nearby. The sun was still shining like crazy, so after brunch we headed into Slottskogen, a big park in Göteborg. After looking at the animals (including one of their elks), we headed to a bar in the park to sit in the sun and suck down beers all afternoon. Then when the sun finally started to go down we headed for an East European restaurant we know for schnitzels and saurkraut. Yum!

Back at work today, with a quieter week ahead than last week (for now at least).

Catch ya all later!

World issues and news with Jonny Lydon (go figure!). It's actually quite a bit better than I thought it was going to be.
